Whether you're embarking on a lengthy journey, or just want to take turns driving, Hertz gives you the option to add additional drivers to your rental. So, grab a friend, relax and enjoy the ride.
You can now add as many drivers as there are seats in your rental car. Ask your Hertz representative about adding an additional driver to your reservation at the Hertz counter. Additional fee applies.
Renter and each AAO must be present to sign Rental Agreement, present an acceptable credit card or debit card (if renting city accepts debit cards) in their own name, or a current round-trip ticket (air, train or bus), show valid driver's license, and must be a minimum of 20 years of age. Additional Driver: Fee for drivers in addition to the renter named in the contract. FPO: Fuel Purchase Option. Fuel purchased in advance at Hertz at time of rental. No refund for unused fuel if option is selected. Fuel & Service/F& S: Charge for cost of fuel and refueling service if car is not returned full of fuel and/or Fuel Purchase Option (see above) was not purchased at time of rental.

Yes. If the renter wishes to add an Additional Driver, the renter and potential Additional Driver must both present themselves at a rental location with their valid driver’s license and credit card. The Additional Driver must meet standard rental requirements.
