The fully programmable Advantage2 features Kinesis’s all-new SmartSet Programming Engine that allows you to customize the keyboard’s layout without installing any clunky software or special drivers, or accessing the internet. Record macros, remap keys, and much, much more using convenient onboard shortcuts. SmartSet works on all major operating systems and enables users to easily create, view, edit, share, and backup their custom layouts. Your keyboard should default to 24 macros with a maximum of 56 (Advantage) or 142 (Advantage Pro) characters per macro. If you select the “36 macro” mode, the maximum macro size is 38 (Advantage) or 94 (Advantage Pro) characters, and with “48 macro” mode the maximum macro size is 28 (Advantage) or 70 (Advantage Pro) characters.

Layout Options for the Advantage contoured keyboard

All Advantage keyboards models can switch between QWERTY and Dvorak key layouts with a combination keystroke. Here are the three configurations available for this keyboard in QWERTY (when switched to DVORAK only letters and core symbols are altered)

Want dual legends? Buy a 'QD' Qwerty-Dvorak dual-legended model or if you want to upgrade later, buy a keycap upgrade kit . Sorry, but Dvorak-only legends are not available.
